The website proffing.com is owned and operated by Proffing LLC, a limited-liability company in the State of Maryland. Our principal business is connecting schools in search of instructors with those looking for teaching opportunities.
What Personal Data We Collect and How We Use It
As part of our primary business, we collect, retain and display personal identifiable information about instructors including both the information we collect regarding teaching interests and expertise as well as the detailed information contained on CVs. We urge all users to consider this information public as it will be viewable by schools around the world.
There is also information that may be contained in images you upload to, and store on, the site. These images can be downloaded, so users to should remove any embedded location information from the images.
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
We neither share your personal data with nor sell your data to any third parties.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
User Research
From time to time, we may contact users directly via their account email in order to participate in market research surveys to learn more about our users. Participation in any such survey is completely optional and will in no way impact a user's relationship with Proffing LLC. We may also make use of third-parties cookies to help us learn how our users are navigating our site (e.g., Google Analytics) in order to provide a better user experience.
Google Web Fonts
For uniform representation of fonts, this site may use web fonts provided by Google. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose your browser has to establish a direct connection to Google servers. Google thus becomes aware that our web page was accessed via your IP address. Most of our information is available only to those who create accounts by establishing a login and password. Our site is hosted on secure servers by Bluehost and we take additional precautions to secure the website. Nonetheless, we cannot and do not guarantee against all loss or misuse of information. Users are responsible for securing their own login details and to avoid sharing their information with others.
Users may update their information on the website, including their login information, at any time.
